I don't have a lot of hope that we will get helgrind clean again

I'm going to nominate this for "production ready". I'd be sad if we gave up on the idea entirely.

Getting to helgrind clean would be nigh impossible at this point. I think a better route would be to explore things like asan and tsan through the integration in LLVM. Actually using helgring, however, looks so bleak that I'm going to close this.
