We can't escape asterisks between asterisks

✖ hello.R:3: @description has mismatched braces or
quotes.

Strange things also happen if we use *\** in the title though it does knit, I haven't tested it in other places.

Edit: Actually it seems we can't escape them at all, Rstudio's highlighting suggests that we can though so it's confusing, this fails just the same:

#'
#' hello \*here and there\*
hello <- function() {
  NULL
}
