Feature Description

I think threaded comments on issues could really help maintain context sometimes. At present it is customary to use "quote replies" to indicate which comment one is replying to, however threaded comments would make this explicit and potentially make conversations clearer and easier to follow.

This should probably be optional on a per-repo level.

In the event of a Discussions-like feature being implemented in the future, threads could be even more useful.

GitHub has this (only one level deep) for PR review comments but not for issues:
